Emma McCaskill is an Associate Attorney with the law firm of Katine Nechman McLaurin LLP, where she focuses on homeowners’ association law, real estate litigation, and related property disputes. Emma represents homeowners’ associations, condominium associations, and individual property owners in a range of transactional and litigation matters, with particular experience in association foreclosure and post-foreclosure issues, including statutory compliance, enforcement, and redemption-related matters.
Emma joined Katine Nechman McLaurin LLP while still in law school, working as a law clerk and gaining hands-on experience in HOA and real estate matters before becoming an associate attorney. She earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in May of 2025.
Prior to law school, Emma graduated summa cum laude from Boise State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Certificate in Business. Her academic background informs her strong legal writing skills and practical approach to client advocacy.
Emma was born in Akron, Ohio, and grew up in several cities across the United States due to her father’s career as a pilot, including New Boston, New Hampshire; Gainesville and Atlanta, Georgia; and Boise, Idaho, before settling in Houston, Texas. In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, spending time with her beagle, Niko, and traveling.
